How do I use the vantagetrade System?
There are two ways:
- Search for the stock of your choice.
- Click on the get Buy and Sell Signals button to view the chart.
- Click on the get chart button to view the chart.
- You get 'Buy and Sell Chart' AND 'Analysis and Suggestion'.
- Choose any Stock from the Stock Picks section.
- You get 'Buy and Sell Signal Chart' AND 'Analysis and Suggestion'.
OR
- You could either Invest or Exit as the trend changes.
- You get early exit signals for upcoming Bear Phases.
- On the fly analysis for any stock.
- Receive instant alerts via email.
- Log in to your account.
- Click on Portfolio link on the top right of the page.
- Click on Add to Portfolio to add stocks.
- Go to Portfolio page.
- Check the email alert box for the chosen stock.
- Click on configure Email delivery on the top right.
Why is it suggested to trade at the end of the day?
The end of the day prices, most strongly reflect the overall sentiment of the market, as day traders and institutional investors are exiting, or have already exited. This is the right time for retail investors to take a call on the next trade.
Also at times, there is a gap between the last traded price and the next opening price, which will not allow you to execute your trade on that particular day or abandon your trading plans in favour of the market.
Why do signals disappear during trading hours?
The last traded price is used to evaluate the mathematical conditions to generate a Buy or Sell signal. A Buy signal can be generated in the first 10 minutes of the evaluation period based on the existing price condition, but if the price conditions get reversed at a later time it will cause the signal to disappear. Therefore, it is advised to use vantagetrade as an end of the day trading system.
The long term trend and its related strength (shown as *****) determines the position that an investor has to take over a period of 4 to 8 weeks.
The short term trend and its related strength (shown as *****) determines the position that an investor has to take over a period of 2 to 4 weeks.
What does the star rating depict?
The star rating is computed by the system with real time or current market data and displayed in the summary window. The star rating is indicative of the probability of a trend continuing in the same direction.
What is the strength of the daily signal?
The strength of a signal is computed by the system with real time or current market data and displayed in the suggestion window. The strength of a daily signal is indicative of how dependable the signal is or how susceptible it is to change. The value attributed to the signal strength is applicable to that bar only.
Can this system be used in flat or sideways markets?
Yes, the vantagetrade system can be used equally well in trending as well as sideways markets. The signal strengths obtained in sideways markets will not be very strong ones, but will be adequate to trade
Is the vantagetrade system the 'Holy Grail' of trading?
NO. The eternal quest for a foolproof mechanical trading system has been on, ever since the inception of computers, and will always carry on. What vantagetrade system offers is a common sense approach to trading or investing, at minimum risk.
Return on Investment (ROI) is equivalent to paper trading on the Buy and Sell signals provided by Vantagetrade.
The steps to calculate ROI is as under:
1. Suppose you bought 100 units of stock at a closing price of 10.00/- when Vantagetrade gave a Buy Signal investing about 1000.00/-
2. In the following weeks when Vantagetrade provides a Sell signal you sell the stock for a closing price of about 12.00/-. Thus getting a return of 20%.
3. The profit of 200.00/- is accounted separately and the principal amount of 1000.00/- is reinvested when you get the next buy signal at the days closing price.
4. The process is repeated on every Buy and Sell signal that the chart provides.
5. The stock is not sold short at the sell signals, only the long position is closed.
6. The above cycle is repeated for a period of 1 year.
7. The ROI shown on the chart is the return that you would have got if you have followed the signals provided by Vantagetrade for a period of 12 months prior to the current date.
What does Non-Trending Stock Mean?
ROI shown on vantagetrade is over a period of 1 year. For stocks which do not trend well, the profitability factor reduces. Therefore such stocks are termed as Non-Trending stocks. However, investing in such stocks are solely at the descretion of the investor. vantagetrade does not advice against investing in such stocks.
How do I view BUY SELL signals?
On the center, there is a bar "Click for Quick View" under which it reads Enter code or name of the stock to get Buy Sell signals and analysis. Please enter the name or code of your choice there and click on the 'go' button next to it and wait for the chart to load. The chart would show you Buy Sell signals. Please do not miss out on checking the window in the left which gives you the summary and suggestions of the same stock in simple language of the day clicked on the chart.
Can I receive SMS alerts?
We are currently working on integrating the sms module on the portal. We would be introducing SMS Alerts shortly. At the moment, we have e-mail alerts feature where in you can customize alerts as per your choice. You can receive e-mail alerts based on time (every day, every week etc) OR based on signal strength.
How could I receive e-mail alerts?
You can receive alerts on the stocks which exist in your portfolio.

Do you support Intraday Trading?
Vantagetrade is an automated stock analysis system. As of now, we are an End of the Day Trading System. We would be introducing intraday shortly.
Do you offer personal advice on Stocks?
Vantagetrade is an automated stock analysis system. You must see the portal for Stock Picks, Buy and Sell Signals, Suggestions, Analysis and Alerts. We do not provide personal advice on stocks. Please do read the 'disclaimer' on the website before you follow any suggestion provided by vantagetrade.
Which countries do you support?
We currently support USA, UK and Indian markets. If you wish to get signals for any other exchanges, we have provided data upload facility on the charts page where in you can upload historical data in Date, Open, High, Low, Volume format to see the
Buy Sell signals. If you are looking at trading on US, UK or Indian markets, you could choose country and use our features to your benefit. We would surely be expanding our service to global markets in the near future.

As of now, our offerings are absolutely FREE! You can view Stock Picks, get BUY SELL signals for any Stock, receive e-mail alerts and use many more of our features for FREE!

To have a portfolio, you need to sign up with us which is very simple.

Click on 'Add to portfolio' button on the charts page.

Why do I get a Sell signal the very Next day I get a Buy signal?
Vantagetrade is a trend tracking system. The market may trigger a Buy today but the trend may change the next day. Although you may have a single trade loss, you would still save yourself from a larger loss as that stock might be on the way further down.
How frequently is the data refreshed?
Data gets refreshed every 15 minutes. At any point of time, users logged on to vantagetrade will be viewing data which is delayed by 15 minutes with respect to real time data.
